COURSE OUTLINE
This course is primarily practical in content, however there is a degree of academic study, which should be carried out both independently and with a video presentation and instructor led discussion. However, the focus of this course is on the practice and mastery of effective and good buoyancy control! It consists of two open water training dives, with a recommended depth of 6 9 meters for each dive and a maximum depth of 21 meters allowed dependant upon the divers ages and certification level.
The course normally runs over one day, dependant upon the dive site location and logistics. At the discretion of the instructor additional confined water training sessions may be required, prior to participants going to open water.
The pre-dive discussions will cover the following topics -

Physical fitness and good buoyancy control.

This is followed by a video presentation and discussion covering the key points of buoyancy control and the checks and responsibilities involved in this most fundamental aspect of scuba diving.
Students will then prepare for the days diving activities, checking and preparing equipment, before leaving the dive centre for the pool or chosen dive site. At the end of the day participants return to Simply Scuba for de-kitting followed by a debriefing of the days activities and certification administration.
