The PADI Rescue Diver course is designed to develop your dive knowledge and
skills to effectively perform diver rescues and assists, as well as teach you
to manage diving accident situations and apply first aid skills.
COURSE PRE-REQUISITES
To participate in the rescue training sessions in open water, and to participate in the open water rescue scenarios, the student must be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or have a qualifying certification beyond entry level (at least two certifications total), with proof of 20 or more logged dives documenting experience in deep diving and underwater navigation.
Prior to Knowledge Development Presentation Two and Rescue Training Session Two, the PADI Rescue Diver course student diver must successfully complete a sanctioned course in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR-Primary Care) and basic first aid (Secondary Care) within the past two years (24 months). The EFR 1 day course is offered in conjunction with the PADI Rescue Diver Course to help you meet this requirement.

COURSE OUTLINE
The course starts with your pre-course independent study of the Rescue Diver Manual including all quizzes and Knowledge Reviews. Formal course days are divided between academic classroom knowledge development sessions, confined water skills training, followed by assessment practical application at open water through staged scenarios.

After completing your Rescue Diver Certification you can enroll on the PADI Dive Master Course, the first professional level in the internationally recognized PADI diving education and certification system.
Or If you wish you can concentrate on specialist areas of interest, and upon
gaining 5 such specialty ratings and with a minimum of 50 logged dives, plus
Rescue Diver means you can apply for the prestigious Master Scuba Diver Rating
Certification, the highest non-professional level within the PADI system.
